It truly is the helpful place. For 23 years, Gingellville Ace Hardware has been living up to that slogan.
And springtime might just be when the store lives up to its motto the most.
We’re problem solvers,? says Mike Gingras of Gingellville Ace. ‘If you’ve got something you can’t figure out that’s what we’re here for.?
The services that Gingellville Ace offers the most this time of year include window and screen repair, lawn mower blade sharpening and lock re-keying.
They also offer expert advice on fertilizer and lawn care, painting your house and pumps and sprinkler systems.
‘We even rent power rakes that remove thatch from your lawn to aerate and oxygenate for a beautiful healthy lawn,? says Marv Stone.
Stone refers to Gingellville Ace as a ‘small box store,? which balances a wide variety of items with friendly service.
‘We sell everything here,? Gingras says. ‘People don’t think about a hardware store that way.?
‘We also have a bigger nuts and bolts selection than any big box store,? Stone adds.
If the great selection isn’t enough to get a customer in the door, then the first-rate customer service might to do the trick.
Gingras and Stone agreed that a customer is helped by their staff from the minute they walk in Gingellville Ace.
The store will help load heavy items such as water softeners or salt and fertilizer bags for their customers as well.
‘It’s nice when people know your name or at least recognize you and maybe remember your face or your last project,? Stone notes.
Stone believes Gingellville Ace is one cog in the piece that makes this area so special.
‘It is our place to help people fix things,? he says. ‘We are here in our community to do our part in making Orion Township and Gingellville a great place to live and shop.?
‘We are part of the local community and believe that helping each other is a good thing and a necessary part of making a great community to live and work in,? he adds.
For residents across Orion Township, Gingellville Ace’s convenient location on Baldwin Road and long hours of operation make finding what you need an easy task.
The store is open seven days a week. Monday through Friday, they’re open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday the hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. On Sunday, they’re open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
From expert advice to great selection to long hours, Gingellville Ace has it all.
‘When you are in need of something and can’t find it elsewhere, you can usually count on Ace to get it for you or tell you where you can find it,? Stone says.
It’s that type of attitude that has made Gingellville Ace the helpful place for 23 years.
‘Helpful hardware is what we do,? Stone adds. ‘Helping people is why we are here.?
