A total of 53 walkers and runners participated in the 2006 Meijer Turkey Trot at Seymour Lake Township Park last Saturday morning.
Despite the cold, wet day, participants were in good spirit and were ready to run the course.
Sponsored by the Oxford Meijer and conducted by the Oxford Twp. Parks and Recreation Dept., participants young and old either ran a 3 mile course or walked 2 km.
Particpants were divided into categories according to both age and sex.
The first place winner in each category received a turkey donated by Meijer.
