Boys take third at OAA meet, focus on strong regional showing

The Clarkston boys cross country team did not disappoint at the OAA Division I League meet on Oct. 20 at Bloomer Park, but their third place finish behind Lahser and Lake Orion did not surprise either.
‘This was a really tough league this year,? said Clarkston Coach Mike Taylor. ‘The league meet didn’t have any surprises for me.?
Clarkston finished with 99 points. Lahser won the race with 40, Lake Orion followed with 61.
Hazen Brennan was named All-League and was the Wolves top runner in the meet, finishing 14th. Clarkston finished the league dual season at 5-2.
The Wolves focus is now on regionals on Oct. 29 at Clintonwood Park.
‘It’s time to either put up or shut up,? said Taylor.
Last year, Clarkston qualified for the state finals on the strength best showing of the year coming at Regionals.
