The Lake Orion High School forensics team participated in the regional tournament, held in April at Birmingham Groves High School. Lake Orion competed in the Southeast Region, with students from 22 Class A schools, for the chance to advance to the state tournament, being held at Central Michigan University. Lake Orion had three students qualify (pictured): Kristen Limback, Informational Open; Dana Spear Informational 9/10; and Lindsay Slavic, Oratory. Both Limback and Spear finished in first in the region, and Spear was the only competitor at regionals to receive perfect scores in all rounds.
