Boys track continues hot streak

The Lake Orion High School boys track team continued to win last week, defeating Rochester Adams 108.5-19.5 on May 4.
The Dragons took the 3200 relay (5:26), and Kojo Asiedu won the 110 hurdles (15.53). Ryan Allison took the 100 dash (11:75), and the 300 hurdles (40.0).
Lake Orion’s 800 relay team won (1:36.1), as did the 400 team (46.2). Shawn Wilsher took the 1600 run (4:52). Billy Peterson took the 800 run (2:04).
Justin Smith won the 200 dash (24.0), as Brian Larsen took the discus (123-3), and Ryan Lewandowski the high jump (6-2), and the long jump (19-2.5).
Trent Varva won the shot put (47-9), as the Dragons record went to 5-0 in OAA I.
The Lake Orion girls went down to Adams 67-61, as Amanda Hitchcock claimed the 100 hurdles (17.6) for the team.
Jessica Hutchison was the winner in the 100 dash (13.5), and the long jump (15-1.5). Lindsay Gaudard captured the 1600 run (5:18) and the 800 run (2:27) for the team.
Lake Orion also won the 400 relay (53.8), as Cara Slossan took the shot put (28-5) for the Dragons, who saw their record go to 0-5 in OAA I.
