Wolf, Witch stand trial

After years and year of wreaking havoc in fairy tales, the Big Bad Wolf and Wicked Witch (a.k.a. the Evil Queen) finally stood trial for their crimes at Oxford Middle School Friday night.
Three little pigs, a flying monkey and a magic mirror were among the witnesses who took the stand as the OMS Drama Club presented the comedic play ‘Fairy Tale Courtroom.?
We all know the Wolf and Witch have been frolicking from fairy tale to fairy tale trying to prevent the general public from living happily ever after.
Now, it was their turn to face justice.
With the audience serving as jury, characters ranging from Little Red Riding Hood to Hansel and Gretel gave hilarious personal accounts of what happened to them via testimony and flashbacks.
In the end, the Wolf was acquitted while the Witch was found guilty.
The cast and crew did a wonderful job bringing this play to life, making the audience howl with laughter and this reviewer cackle with delight.
Much applause to Director Jack W. Gray for making a middle school production look so polished and professional.
