About 125 supporters of the North Oakland Headwaters Land Conservancy showed up for a swamp stomping good time at the organization’s annual fundraiser Saturday.
‘Our attendance was down from last year,? said NOHLC Executive Director Katie Anderson, noting about 180 turned out in 2007. ‘But generosity was up, particularly with sponsorships from the businesses who support us.?
The event, which took place at the Springfield Oaks Activity Center, helps keep the NOHLC up and running all year.
‘We had rave reviews about the food and the relaxed atmosphere,? Anderson said. ‘Everyone was talking about how much fun it was.?
