The weather outside was frightful , but everything inside Addison Oaks was absolutely delightful Sunday afternoon as the Oxford Women’s Club hosted its 3rd Annual Beer and Wine Tasting to raise money for its scholarship fund.
A total of 220 people spent three hours imbibing wines and beers from all over the world while chatting, laughing and dining on gourmet cuisine.
Six tables full of beverages, both familiar and exotic, domestic and imported, lined the room as guests roamed from table to table sampling, sipping and expanding their taste buds? horizons.
Wines from Germany, France, Austria, Spain, Italy, South Africa, California, Oregon and Michigan were represented as well as beers from Belgium, Brazil, Germany, Sri Lanka, Washington state, Pennsylvania and of course, the Great Lakes state.
Oxford Wine & Beverage Co. once again organized the tasting for the 75-year-old Women’s Club.
Between admission and raffle tickets the event raised a total of $3,149 for the scholarship fund.
