Visitors to downtown Lake Orion can find more parking relief in the form of a new lot at 115 N. Broadway.
The Downtown Development Authority (DDA) announced last week that the lot, which is located next to Shear Dimensions and across from Orion Music Studio, is open for public use and is a recommended parking place for downtown business owners and their employees.
Janet Hartman, Administrative Coordinator for the DDA, reminds downtown business owners that street spots are for customers only.
‘Businesses are limited to 15 minutes for loading and unloading only by ordinance,? Hartman said. ‘Besides, every spot you take up on the street is one less potential customer for you or a neighbor.?
According to the DDA, the new lot contains 12 regular and two handicap parking spaces and will carry a 23-hour parking time limit.
