Renee Wilson is Oxford Township’s new deputy clerk.
Last week, township officials voted unanimously to appoint Wilson to the position effective Jan. 1 with a starting annual salary of $44,426 plus benefits.
‘I’m really glad she came along because she’s proven herself to be an excellent employee,? said Clerk Clara Sanderson
Wilson’s career at the township began in March 2001 as a temporary part-time worker hired through an agency.
In July 2001, she was hired by the township as a part-time administrative assistant in the clerk’s department. She became a full-time employee of that department in December of the same year.
Wilson replaces longtime Deputy Clerk Beverly Johnson, who’s retiring Dec. 31 after 34 years with the township.
