A group of Martians landed at Lakeville Elementary last week and ended up learning the true meaning of Christmas.
Lakeville Elementary first and second-graders performed ‘A Martian Christmas? Dec. 7 in front of a packed audience of proud parents, excited siblings and smiling teachers.
The musical play centered around a group of Martians who came to Earth with sinister plans to ‘freeze-dry? all the people and steal our snow to fuel their space ships. Apparently, they ran out of fuel on their way home from Venus.
But the Earthlings? Christmas cheer, kindness and singing melted the Martians? cold alien hearts. In the end, the Earthlings gave the Martians all the snow they needed as a gift.
