It’s still very early in the season, but Coach Scott Couch is happy with what he sees so far from his 6-3 varsity wrestling team.

On Saturday, the team traveled to Romeo to wrestle in a dual meet tournament. Oxford came in third out of six teams. The Cats beat Birmingham Seaholm 64-9, Wyandotte 51-21 and Saginaw 84-0. Oxford lost to Romeo 36-29 and Richmond 34-33.
On Dec. 5, the team travelled to Corunna High School where they beat New Lothrop 43-29 and Corunna 37-29.
At the Nov. 28 season opener in Lake Orion, Oxford beat Rochester Adams 41-27, but lost to the Dragons 40-21.
‘We’re still young. We’re stilling trying to figure out what our lineup is,? Couch said. ‘We’ve still got a lot of time to do that.?
