Last week, we asked our followers: “There are several vacant storefronts in the Orion area. What would you most like to see come into town?”

We had 63 people respond to the poll on Facebook, with 42 people saying they would like to see a Butcher’s Shop; ten people said they would like a Bakery; six people indicated that they would someone to open a Deli; and five people said they wanted a Bookstore.

“Anything other than another restaurant which requires parking. Parking is a nightmare,” said our Facebook follower Susan Yagiela Williams.

On Twitter, we received 31 votes, with 13 people saying they would like to see a Butcher’s Shop; eight people said they would like a Bakery; six people indicated that they would someone to open a Deli; and four people said they wanted a Bookstore.

“Actually, I would love any of these stores in Orion! I really like to shop local and would support any of these,” said our Twitter follower Sheryl Wragg.

Unscientific results: A majority of our followers would like to see a Butcher’s Shop open in the Orion area.
