Dr. Baker gets first hole-in-one

Dr. Mike Baker got his first ever hole-in-one at the Mulberry Hills Golf Club in Addison Township on Saturday, Sept. 8.
Using a seven-iron, Baker made the perfect shot on a par three, 134-yard hole.
It was witnessed and confirmed by course ranger Chuck Eberhart.
A dentist in Lake Orion for 25 years before moving to Park City, Utah in 1996, Baker was in town visiting his father, Ernst Baker, of Orion Township.
Baker’s was the second hole-in-one of the day at Mulberry Hills and only the third of the entire season, which began in April, according to course owner Denise Clayton.
Dawn Jones, of Waterford, hit a hole-in-one on a par three, 137-yard hole the same day as Baker. She was using a seven-wood at the time.
On May 15, Jack Duncan, of Lake Orion, hit a hole-in-one on a par three, 134-yard hole using a seven-iron ? the same hole and club as Baker.
