Caring for Clarkston at Christmas

Hollie Wendland made a difference.
The Clarkston High School freshman and her parents arrived at the Clarkston News last week with a carload of food Hollie collected from her neighbors, food that will help feed financially strapped families this Christmas and beyond.
Others arrived with personal care items, paper products, new gifts for men women and children, books, and more food.
They made a difference, too’each and every one.
But more help is still needed.
Dozens and dozens of financially strapped residents lined up at Neighbor for Neighbor last week to pick up food and choose a few gifts to put under the tree come Christmas morning.
This week, dozens more will come for food and gifts they wouldn’t otherwise have. Most comes from donations.
At The Clarkston News we’ll be accepting donations through Friday to support several local organizations.
Bring the kids, and we’ll snap a photo to run in an upcoming edition of our paper. Adults want a photo? Just ask. We’re kind of camera happy, anyway.
Merry Christmas, Clarkston.
