Oxford Village Police are investigating a possible armed robbery attempt that occurred at an ATM in the parking lot of the Oxford Marketplace shopping center on Saturday, March 24.
According to Sgt. Mike Solwold, a woman was withdrawing some cash around 10:30 p.m. when she heard a male voice say, ‘Give me all your money.? The woman told police she thought she saw what looked like the barrel of a gun.
Still in her vehicle, the woman hit the gas and sped away. She called police and met them downtown.
Police searched the area, but did not find the suspect. Solwold indicated the police are waiting to view the ATM’s surveillance video to see if it captured any images of the suspect.
Because everything happened so fast, the woman could not provide a description of the suspect.
