A berry good time!

There’s nothing quite like a summer festival in the heart of Small Town USA. It’s like a cover off The Saturday Evening Post come to life.
Leonard’s 56th Annual Strawberry Festival held Saturday was a reminder of simpler times, happy times in places where everybody knows each other’s names. It exemplified everything that’s still pure and right in a world than often goes wrong.
Despite some rain, a good time was had by all as the typically quiet streets of Leonard were filled with laughter, children’s activities, music and plenty of strawberry sundaes.
This year the Addison Township Firefighters Association dished out 2,075 sundaes and grossed approximately $5,500.
The money will be used to help local families in need.
