While the Detroit Tigers are still struggling to earn their first victory of the season, the Oxford Varsity boys baseball team is off to a 2-0 start.
The Wildcat sluggers defeated Lake Fenton 11-0 and 14-1 in the April 2 season opener, which was a doubleheader at home.
Senior Kyle Teague was the big hero of the day pitching a no-hitter in the first game.
According to Coach Kurt Nuss, Teague recorded 13 strikeouts in five innings.
‘He had a good day,? Nuss said. At bat, Teague hit four triples ? one in the first game and three in the second.
Junior Geoff Charles registered three hits for the day.
