About 230 people ate, drank, laughed and looked for clues Saturday at ‘Murder Midst the Magnolias,? a murder mystery event written by Patience Beer to support the Clarkston-area Optimist Club.
While the event was set at a 1973 Magnolia Academy reunion in Magnolia, Mississippi, it actually took place at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Independence Township.
The cast of characters’who sported monikers like Sasha Maybee and Clark Ortonville’answered questions as participants tried to sort through a hilarious tangle of details in the race to answer the evening’s ultimate question: Whodunit?
