Liquor license approved in village

Oxford Wine & Beverage Co. (11 S. Washington St.), owned by Dean and Maureen Rondy, was approved Dec. 11 by the state for a license to sell package liquor.
The Michigan Liquor Control Commission decided to grant the village shop a New Resort Specially Designated Distributor license. Dean said he’s planning to begin selling premium spirits sometime in January.
Art & Dick’s Party Store (81 W. Burdick St.), owned by Charles and Deborah Walleman, applied for the same liquor license, but its application is still pending.
The party store currently carries only wine and beer products.
