Sabrina’s Salon in downtown Oxford celebrated its 10th anniversary Sunday with an Oscar-style party for its clients.
The salon literally rolled out the red carpet ? and velvet ropes ? as guests were treated like Hollywood stars.
‘We just wanted to show our appreciation to our customers and have fun doing it,? said owner Sabrina Guzman.
Special awards, pink cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and cardboard cutouts of movie stars and paparazzi helped give the salon that Oscar night feel.
Clients were awarded tiny trophies in categories such Best Multi-tasker, Pickiest Client, Trendiest, Closet Hairdresser, Best Comedy Team, Most Active, Friendliest, Wackiest, Most Loyal and Best Story-teller.
‘If I could honor all my clients, I would because every single one of them has brought something to us,? Guzman said. ‘And I hope that we’ve given them as much in return. You really develop a personal relationship with these people. You see them so often that they become family.?
Sabrina’s staff dressed up in evening gowns and let the clients vote on who made the best and worst dressed lists.
