Addison firefighters were called to a detached garage fire on Mountain Estates Ct. (just north of Mack Rd. between Townsend and Dequindre roads) at 12:02 p.m. Monday, Aug. 13.
Fire Chief George Spencer said the garage was ‘fully involved? when the call was placed and had already collapsed prior to firefighters? arrival.
The 960-square-foot garage was a ‘total loss? as were the two vehicles inside it ? a 1994 Ford Crown Victoria and 2004 Ford F-150 pickup truck.
The house sustained a little damage when the intense heat melted some siding.
The fire’s cause is under investigation, but Spencer said it’s not believed to be suspicious at this time. ‘They’re looking into electrical as the cause,? he said.
