Oxford’s 3rd Annual Relay for Life exceeded everyone’s expectations this past weekend by raising $62,363 for the American Cancer Society. This year’s relay raised more money than either of the previous two events.
For the third consecutive year, Oxford Bank’s relay team raised the most money, collecting more than $17,000.
Barbara Couwlier, of Team Poppie, was the highest individual fund-raiser, collecting more than $1,100.
The Oxford United Methodist Church Faithful Kickers won ‘Team of the Year? while Chris’s Cowhands received a plaque for ‘Best Decorated Campsite.?
Oxford Child Care won the ‘Team Spirit? award and Ginger Ormsby, from Erma’s Angels, received the ‘Lifesaver Award.?
