Six homes and three businesses in the village were selected last week to receive awards from the Oxford Beautification Commission in October.
A total of 64 village properties were nominated as part of the 14th Annual Beautification Awards Program, according to Commission Chairman Joe Bullen. Winners were selected based on their property’s aesthetic contributions ? landscaping, upkeep, repairs, improvements, etc. ? toward improving the village’s overall appearance.
The purpose of the awards program is for neighbors to encourage neighbors by setting an example when it comes to maintaining, enhancing and beautifying their properties.
