VFW Post 334 receives $4,500 donation from North Oakland Board of Realtors

Last month the North Oakland Board of Realtors presented the North Oakland VFW Post 334 a donation check for $4,500 for VFW National Home for Children and VFW Camp Trotter.

The VFW National Home for Children, located in Eaton Rapids, MI was founded in 1925 to benefit families of servicemen who were left behind during times of war.

The National Home for Children connects military and veteran families and works to meet the needs of these families.

VFW Camp Trotter, located east of Newaygo, MI, is a camp primarily for children of veterans. Camp activities include swimming, boating, hiking, biking arts and crafts, archery and so much more. During the five weeks of camp children a taught science, art, nature, patriotism, courage, self-reliance and kindred virtues.

The $4,500 donated will go to sending ten children from the National Home for Children to Camp Trotter said VFW Post 334 Quartermaster, Chuck Haskin. — M.K.
