Novi man taken to hospital after rollover crash
A Novi man was driving too fast and rolled his vehicle at the Lake and Andrews streets intersection on Nov. 30, a police report stated.
Lake Orion police responded to the area at 10:56 p.m. and, after an investigation, discovered that speed was a factor in the crash.
The 26-year-old driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The man was also issued numerous summonses to appear at the 52-3 District Court in Rochester Hills, the incident report stated.

Accident on M-24 after vehicle making left turn fails to yield
Lake Orion police responded to a traffic crash at S. Broadway Street and Park Boulevard (M-24) at 10:11 p.m. Dec. 1.
A black Dodge Charger making a left turn from S. Broadway Street on to M-24 failed to yield the right of way and pulled out in front of a white GMC vehicle traveling northbound on M-24, causing the crash.
There were no injuries reported.

Troy man arrested on misdemeanor warrants
A man from Troy, Michigan was arrested on two outstanding misdemeanor warrants after a traffic stop at 8:45 p.m. Dec. 2.
Lake Orion police stopped the vehicle and learned that the 25-year-old driver had two separate warrants out of two separate communities.
The man was temporarily detained while Lake Orion police notified the police departments that had issued the warrants. The man was given court information to resolve the warrants.

Bloomfield Twp. man arrested on misdemeanor warrant
A 21-year-old Bloomfield Township man was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant after a traffic stop at 11:24 p.m. Dec. 2.
Lake Orion police temporarily detained the man, confirmed the warrant and notified the police department that had issued the warrant.
The man was given court information to take care of the warrant.

Lake Orion man arrested on felony drug warrant
An Oakland County sheriff’s deputy on routine patrol around Lapeer and Clarkston roads queried a motorist’s license plate and the search revealed the driver had a felony warrant out for his arrest.
Deputies conducted an investigatory traffic stop at 12:50 p.m. Nov. 29 and identified the driver as the registered owner, a 32-year-old Lake Orion man, with a valid felony warrant out of Macomb County for probation violation with the original charge of “dangerous drugs,” according to the police report.
Deputies arrested the man and he was turned over to Macomb County authorities on their warrant.

Suspects steal items during ‘shopping spree’ at Kohl’s
Detectives are looking for two suspects who allegedly stole items from Kohl’s, 4872 S. Baldwin Rd., on Nov. 29.
An employee told deputies that two people entered the store and one went to the electronics department. The other suspect, a female, went toward the women’s department and selected several items.
After concealing items, both suspects proceeded to the exit, passing all points of purchase making no attempt to pay for the items.
Both suspects got into a vehicle and left the area. All information and video were collected and turned over to detectives.

Repeat shoplifter nabbed outside of Kohl’s, taken to county jail
A Pontiac man was arrested and taken to jail for allegedly shoplifting from Kohl’s, 4872 S. Baldwin Rd., on Nov. 30.
Kohl’s loss prevention contacted the sheriff’s office and said a repeat offender, a 40-year-old Pontiac man, was inside the store concealing merchandise in a paper bag.
Deputies went to Kohl’s and found the suspect outside the store with a paper bag. Inside the bag were two pairs of stolen shoes. Deputies observed both pairs of shoes had altered anti-theft devices.
Loss prevention provided video of the suspect removing the anti-theft devices, concealing the merchandise in the bag and passing all points of perchance and not paying.
The suspect was taken into custody and lodged at the Oakland County Jail for processing and released with a citation for Retail Fraud II based on the evidence and a prior conviction.

Woman arrested for assaulting boyfriend, but claims he harmed himself
An Orion Township woman was arrested for allegedly assaulting her boyfriend, but claims the man also assaulted himself.
Deputies went to a home on the 500 block of Conklin at 11:11 p.m. Nov. 30 and interviewed a 22-year-old woman and a 32-year-old man who live together and have a child in common, an incident report stated.
The woman admitted she was consuming alcohol earlier and became upset with the boyfriend’s lack of support for their child.
She also admitted to striking the man but added that he threw himself on the floor and began assaulting himself.
Deputies observed swelling and abrasions to the man’s face. The victim refused to complete a written statement but told deputies that shattered glass on the floor and blood was due to his girlfriend pushing him into a bathroom mirror.
Based on the statements and physical evidence at the scene, the woman was arrested for domestic assault and lodged at the Oakland County Jail pending prosecutor review.

Man assaults woman during argument over social media posts, report says
Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies are seeking an arrest warrant for a Pontiac man who allegedly punched his girlfriend during an argument over Facebook posts.
Deputies went to a home on the 100 block of Canary Lake at 11:57 a.m. Dec. 1 after a 31-year-old Orion Township woman said she was the victim of domestic abuse.
The victim reported her boyfriend came over and the two went to the boyfriend’s car to talk and began to argue over Facebook posts.
The suspect, a 28-year-old Pontiac resident, reportedly grabbed the victim by the back of the hair and began striking her in the face with a closed fist.
The victim believes she also injured her shoulder when she fled from the vehicle.
The suspect fled the scene prior to deputies’ arrival. Deputies took photographs of the victim’s injuries and attempted to locate the suspect without success.
Based on the victim’s statement, physical injuries and physical evidence, deputies are seeking a warrant for the suspect’s arrest through the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office.

Local man assaults girlfriend after drinking night and day, report says
Oakland County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, hitting her and breaking glasses in her home.
Deputies went to the 500 block of Oakland at 9 a.m. Dec. 3 for a domestic assault in progress after a 35-year-old woman who reported she was assaulted by her 42-year-old boyfriend.
The victim said she was punched in her face around midnight the previous night by her boyfriend during an argument. The suspect broke a glass he had been drinking alcohol from and then went to sleep.
When the suspect woke up that morning, he reportedly began drinking again.
The woman asked him to leave, which he did, but then began banging on the door minutes later. The woman let him back in and was assaulted again, an incident report stated.
The woman ran into the bathroom and the suspect began breaking glasses against the fireplace. At that time the victim called 911.
Deputies observed bruising to the victim’s arms and wrists and damage to the home. The suspect was transported to the Oakland County Jail for domestic assault.
