NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Charter Township of Orion Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on Monday, November 28, 2016 at 7:00 pm in the lower level of the Orion Township Hall, 2525 Joslyn Road, Lake Orion, Michigan 48360, on the following matter:
AB-2016-39, Polly Ann Trail Management Council, Clarkston Road, Sidwell #09-09-426-027
1. The petitioner is requesting that the board determine which zoning district within Sign Ordinance No. 138 shall be referenced for the purpose of determining sign height, location and area on this un-zoned parcel.
2. The petitioner is requesting three variances from Sign Ordinance No. 138, Section 8:
a) A 6 ft. variance above the allowed 6 ft. ground sign height to install a 12 ft. high ground sign.
b) A 107 sq. ft. variance above the allowed 25 sq. ft. sign area of a ground sign to install a four sided ground sign with a total of 132 sq. ft. of sign area.
c) A 6 ft. variance from the required 40 ft. road right-of-way setback to install a ground sign 34 ft. from the road right-of-way.
You may send correspondence regarding this case to the Orion Township Hall, addressed to the Zoning Board of Appeals, or you may attend the public hearing to express your views and/or concerns.
A complete copy of the proposed ZBA application is on file in the Planning & Zoning Department and may be examined during normal business hours, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, until the date of the public hearing.
