Synopsis, Regular Meeting, Monday, August 15, 2016

Meeting called to order at 7:00 p.m.
Invocation: Pastor Steve Sanders, First Baptist Church. All rose for the Pledge of Allegiance.
Formally recognized Carl Cyrowski as July’s Citizen of the Month for his work with the Lake Orion Fireworks Association. Recognized Siobhan Heuninck as August’s Citizen of the Month for her work with the Meals on Wheels program.
Heard presentation concerning the proposed Bunny Run Lake Water Quality Control SAD #1.
Approved the payment of bills in the amount of ($132,198.75), payroll in the amount of $249,289.65, for a total disbursement of funds in the amount of $117,090.90.
Approved Minutes, Regular Meeting, Tuesday, July 5, 2016.
Approved Minutes, Regular Meeting, Monday, July 18, 2016.
Approved Minutes, Budget Work Session, Monday, July 11, 2016.
Received and filed the Treasurer’s Investment Update.
Awarded bid to D.F. Best Company in the amount of $35,500.00 in order to perform electrical upgrades to the Silverbell lift station.
Received and filed request for comments received from the Planning Commission concerning a proposed text amendment to the Zoning Ordinance regarding conditional rezoning.
Received and filed Board notice regarding proposed joint public hearing regarding GreenES Electric Minor PUD.
Approved the application and waived the fee for Lake Orion Thespian Troupe 2898 to sell concessions during their events at the Wildwood Amphitheater.
Received and filed the MMRMA 2nd quarter report.
Adopted resolution authorizing the preparation of the Special Assessment Roll for proposed Bunny Run Lake Water Quality Control SAD #1, as presented.
Held second reading and adopted text amendment to ord. 78, PC-2015-36: Performance Guarantees, as published.
Adopted Human Rights Resolution for Orion Township, as corrected.
Denied all 14 peddlers/solicitors license applications for representatives of Renewal by Andersen, on the basis of incomplete applications and background information.
Denied two applications and approved one application for peddlers/solicitors licenses from Power Home Improvement, on the basis of background information.
Heard village water distribution system update.
Meeting adjourned at 8:59 p.m.
