Phyllis Elaine Lindstrom, a longtime resident of Lake Orion, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025, at the age of 83.
Phyllis was the beloved wife of the late Dean Lindstrom, with whom she shared many beautiful years of marriage filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. She was a devoted and loving mother to Valerie (Mike) Keithly, Vance (Robin) Lindstrom, and Vaughn (Debbie) Lindstrom. Her legacy lives on through her cherished grandchildren: Dean (Chelsea), Melanie, Shane, Clinton, Nicklas, Jackie, and James (Maria), as well as her great-grandchildren: Nova, Nehemiah, Naleigha, Theron, Genesis, Amoria, Emilia, and Izabella who brought her endless joy and pride.
She was the dear sister of Karen (Max) Harris and is fondly remembered by the families of her late brothers, Dale (Susan) Harvey and Kirk (Cindy) Harvey. Phyllis is also survived by a large and loving extended family, including many nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends who will deeply miss her warmth and generous spirit.
Phyllis dedicated many years of her life as a bus driver for the Lake Orion School District, where she nurtured countless young lives. She was known for her boundless hospitality, especially during her cherished family gatherings. The annual corn roasts and “potato pancake day” became treasured traditions, bringing loved ones together to share good food, laughter, and memories.
Phyllis had a passion for creativity. She found joy in helping others, whether through a kind word, a homemade card, or a lovingly prepared dish. She enjoyed camping with family, was a talented baker, cake decorator, and a skilled crafter. One of her favorite hobbies was creating personalized greeting cards—a labor of love she happily shared by teaching others her techniques and encouraging them to express themselves through art.
Phyllis will be remembered not only for her talents and creativity, but also for her warmth and the genuine love she gave to everyone around her.
A memorial service honoring Phyllis’s life will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Modetz Funeral Home, 100 E. Silverbell Rd., Orion. The family will receive friends beginning at 11 a.m. until the time of service.
