LOHS water polo teams hosts first Dragon Invitational

The Lake Orion High School water polo program hosts its first-ever Dragon Invitational on Friday and Saturday in the Natatorium at the high school, 495 E. Scripps Rd.

The Lake Orion varsity water polo team opens the tournament at 4 p.m. on Friday against Walled Lake, and then will take on Mason/Grand Ledge at 6:45 p.m.

Teams from Chelsea and Troy United also will compete in the varsity tournament.

On Saturday, the Lake Orin JV/varsity B team will compete at 9 a.m. against Troy United, at 10:50 a.m. against Mason/Grand Ledge, at 1:35 p.m. against Walled Lake before the final game at 3:25 p.m. against Chelsea.

Kyrstin Sheridan begins her first season as the team’s new head coach and Brock is the new assistant coach.

Admission to the tournament is $5 per day. – J.N.
