LOHS Boys tennis currently 4-2 overall

The Lake Orion High School varsity boys tennis team split their two home matches last week, crushing the Davison Cardinals 8-0 on Wednesday and falling to the Berkley Bears 7-2 on Thursday.

The Dragon’s record is now 4-2 on the season.

Against Davison, the Dragons dominated the singles matches with senior captain Thomas Fluent winning in #1 singles, 6-2, 6-0, and senior Jin Yim winning #2 singles, 6-1, 6-3.

Senior Will Durbin came back from one set down to win 4-6, 6-4, 10-8, and junior Peter Husted won in #4 singles, 6-4, 6-2.

Lake Orion slammed through the doubles matches as seniors Nate Fox and Blake Skibicki won 6-0, 6-2 in # 1 doubles, seniors Kellen Foley and Bryce Stanfield won 6-0, 6-3 in #2 doubles, senior Ruben DeLosRios and junior Jake Beach won 6-0, 6-1 in #3 Doubles, junior Daniel Pavelich and sophomore Michael Porkorny won 6-0, 6-1 in #4 Doubles and sophomore Anthony Roncone and freshman Connor Fox cleared 8-0 in #5 doubles.

In the Berkley match, the Dragons played hard, but could only manage two victories as Fluent won 6-1, 2-6, 6-0 in #1 singles, and Roncone and Fox won 6-3, 6-4 in #5 doubles.

The Dragons will have a full week of action with three matches this week, beginning with traveling to Utica to face Eisenhower High School on Monday, hosting North Farmington High School on Tuesday, and heading to Farmington Hills High School on Wednesday. All matches begin at 4pm.
