Leslie Rose of Lake Orion, Mich., passed away suddenly from natural causes in Traverse City, Mich., on Friday, Sept. 13. She was preceded in death by her mother, Pasty Harold; her father, George Harold; and her nephew, Shawn Grimes.
Leslie is survived by her husband, David Rose, and their four children: Robert (Amber Woodworth) Rose, Ashley (Kory) Grundner, David Rose, and James (Elizabeth) Rose. She is also survived by her siblings Deborah (Ray) Ballard, George (Kris Morris) Harold, and Sydney Harold. Leslie’s legacy continues through her eight grandchildren: Comella St. Henry; Nolan Goleski; Koltyn, Kason, and Asher Grundner; and Eleanor and James Rose. She is further survived by her nieces and nephews: Courtney, Trent, and Spencer, as well as her grandnephew and grandniece, Jackson and Reagan Plas.
For over 35 years, Leslie and her husband ran Michigan Telephone, serving their local community. Known for her love of gardening, cooking, and hosting parties, Leslie had a generous spirit and a heart that always put others first. She was a second mother to many, often opening her home to children in need of care and support. Leslie touched countless lives with her kindness and compassion, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those she helped and loved.
Rest in peace, Mom. We love you dearly and will cherish your memory until we are reunited.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 – 12pm at Modetz Funeral Home, 100 E. Silverbell Rd., Orion. Family will receive friends Tuesday 10am until time of service. Online tributes may be shared at www.modetzfuneralhomes.com.
