The Dragon boys’ track and field varsity did a great job last week, winning 12 of the 14 events against Oxford to take a 94-34 win.
In the field events, freshman Caleb Campbell led a Dragon sweep of the long jump, along with sophomore Dion Boyce and junior Roger White.
Sophomore Tyler Skibicki led a sweep of the 110m Hurdles and the 300m Hurdles, along with sophomore David Yonkers, senior Kyle Duffy, and freshman Thomas Moreman.
Junior Jack Everts led a sweep of the 400m Dash, along with freshman Sam Knight and sophomore Doug Mason.  Sophomore Jacob Hoffman led a sweep of the 200m Dash, along with juniors Dallas Cleary and Daniel White.
The win improved the Dragon’s record to 2-0 in the OAA.
On Saturday, the Dragons were back at Oxford, competing in the annual Oxford Invitational.
There were 29 schools in the highly competitive event. Lake Orion finished fourth.
The Dragons scored in ten events, the best being the 400m Relay team of Dallas Cleary, La’Juan Broner, Jacob Hoffman, and Sheldon Drake, coming from behind, and winning in dramatic fashion. Sheldon also ran second in the open 100m Dash.
Andrew Lorant was third in the 1600m Run, and anchored the second place 3200m Relay team consisting of Nolan Maupin, Jack Everts, and Matt Arenz.  The 800m Relay team finished third with Kevin Hansen, Mason Koncelik, Jacob Hoffman, and Drake.
