The Skymasters RC Club of Lake Orion held their air show and open house on Saturday at the Bald Mountain Recreation Area off of W. Scripps rd.

The weather was perfect for take off with dozens of fliers from both the Skymasters and the Pontiac Miniature Aircraft Club joining in on the fun throughout the afternoon.

Fliers showcased their skills in turns for the spectators and encouraged those interested in learning to visit www.skymasters.org to join the club.

The Skymasters hold events throughout the year including Student Night. Student Night is every Wednesday night at 5 p.m. at the Bald Mountain Rec. Area on W. Scripps rd. Here, students can learn how to fly their own remote control aircraft. — M.K.
