Last week, we asked our followers: “Many community events were canceled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Which event did you miss the most this year?”

We had 24 people respond to the poll on Facebook, with nine people stating that they missed the Orion Lighted Parade most; eight people said they missed the Lions Club Jubilee and Carnival; four people indicated that they missed Dragon on the Lakeand three people said they missed the Flower Fair.

On Twitter, we received 12 votes, six people stating that they missed the Orion Lighted Parade most; five people said they missed the Lions Club Jubilee and Carnival; one person indicated that they missed Dragon on the Lakeand no one said they missed the Flower Fair.

“Besides thes events, I just missed the normalcy of seeing my friends around town, meeting for coffee or lunch and saying hi to random strolling strangers,” said Sheryl Wragg on Twitter. “However, I believe COVID is a real threat. I support the event organizers who had to make the tough decision to cancel.”

Unscientific results: A majority of our followers missed the Orion Lighted Parade the most this year.
