Daniel M. Broderick, 64

Dan Broderick in cowboy hatDaniel M. Broderick; of Ball, Louisiana; and formerly of Lake Orion; age 64; passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 19, 2016. He was the son of “Dutch” and Pauline Broderick, both of whom preceded him in death. Dan is survived by his sisters Peggy (Rod Smith) Miller, Patti (Ron) Fern and Penny (Danial) Davies; and his brother Tom (Dawn) Broderick. He will be remembered with much love by his nieces Michelle Miller and Tara Christi; his nephews and their families Eric (Tiffany) Jones with Taylor and Conner, Ryan (Taylor) Davies with Cameron and Audrey, Jermey (Brittney) Jones with Katelyn, Kaleb and Kristen, Brett Davies with Brooklyn and Camdyn and Jason Davies.
Dan grew up in Lake Orion, a town he still loved, where he made many good friends that he kept in contact with over his years of living in different parts of the country. Dan was a “man about town” and had lived in Boston, Colorado, Santa Fe, and the last few years in Louisiana where he was with family. Dan was a gifted writer, a funny story-teller, and made everyone laugh with stories and memories of good times with friends. His gift for gab made him a great salesman in the construction industry. While in New Mexico, he was part-owner of a successful window business. Since then he had retired, and spent his time with his family and Zorro, his beloved dog.
Services will be at SPARKS-GRIFFIN FUNERAL HOME, Lake Orion on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 7pm with visitation from 4pm until 7 p.m. Interment Eastlawn Cemetery, Lake Orion. www.sparksgriffin.com
