Boys’ track team wins Brandon Invitational

The running Dragons continued their good week with a win at Brandon last Saturday, April 15.

An all relay format allowed the Dragons to show off their depth.

In the Field Events, seniors Cameron Shadaia and Justin Cathers combined to win the Shot Put event, and junior Eric Hoffman and freshman Zach Dinverno won the combined Pole Vault.

In the running events the team of senior Matthew Arenz, senior John Arnold, junior Michael Jarvis, and senior Captain Andrew Lorant won the Distance Medley Relay.

Lorant and Jarvis joined junior Jack Everts and sophomore Nolan Maupin to win the 3200m Relay. Everts ran with freshman Sam Knight, Nolan Maupin, and senior Captain Kevin Hansen on the winning 1600m Relay.

Sophomore Tyler Skibicki, freshman Thomas Moreman, sophomore David Yonkers, and senior Kyle Duffy won the Shuttle Hurdle Relay, and Skibicki also won the 300m Hurdles.

The Throwers Relay was won with the team of freshman Sebastian Marku, Remi Murillo, senior Justin Cathers, and junior Dallas Cleary.
