Americans, Stay Home

Citizens in the United States have always visited other countries around the world.

Some country’s feel our country’s response, or lack of response, to the pandemic was not enough. Those countries have put travel restrictions on us. We are six months into this pandemic and we are still hearing “stay home” if we can because that is the best way to limit spread of the virus.

If you are like most people, you are doing a very good job of staying home and staying safe. Still, being restricted is something we are not that familiar with.

Traveling is not a hobby of mine so I do not miss it. What I miss is the freedom to choose to travel.

You can apply that loss of freedom to every place of business you visit, including churches. Every area of our life has had to adjust to a new way of doing things. Our Lake Orion post office is a good example of the typical changes that are everywhere now.

Yes we have adapted, but if you are like me, while standing in line you dream of the day we go back to not having these changes. During this whole time there has also been a level of confusion which has also taken some of our feelings of security away.

Recently, I realized it’s not the virus, masks, social distancing, confusion, etc. that is difficult for us. Up until a few months ago, we lived our lives with the freedom to be who we are both individually and collectively. I miss that and others I have spoken to do too!

The decision to not travel to another state recently was made for me when I heard the state was experiencing 1,400 new virus cases a day. A freedom that we have always had is now different as we consider the extra steps necessary due to the pandemic.

Not only is our country the United States, with an emphasis on united, we are also the land of the free — a free country. Free to go and do and be an awesome treasure we all hold dearly in our hearts.

Driving to the post office last weekend, I went through the downtown area of Lake Orion. Looking at the quiet roads and sidewalks, I had visions of past outdoor events and a bustling downtown area went through my mind. There was stillness in the air as I reminisced about visiting vendors’ booths from previous years.

Sad too, because it just felt quiet and disheartening. Giving myself a few moments to feel the emotions, but not wanting to get stuck in the sadness, I began creating what might be better.

Mentally, I am over this pandemic; yet it’s still important to stay home and do our part.

If you feel like me, join me in prayer. Together let’s work together in changing the way we look at this time. Instead of grabbing at negative or limiting thoughts, let’s place a different picture in our mind’s eye. Our actions must follow the necessary regulations but our minds are still free! Use that free space to place visions of the world you want to see.

Visions are mental pictures that you send out from your conscious mind to the Universe and the Universe responds. It responds with a magnetic response to bring to you that which is for your best and highest good.

From your visions you create and will experience better things happening. Let go of sadness and confusion. Say “Hello” to a much better life by joining with me in visualizing and creating a better picture. A picture of being the country you remember. A country you want to live in.

Join me in prayer – God, It’s all of us, we come before you with open hearts and minds. We are visualizing a new world with better ideas. We see our pandemic being quieted and supported with wellness. Everywhere we look we see our freedoms being restored to us. Together with like minds, we affirm the worst is behind us and we have the knowledge to support ourselves into wellness!

We are wearing masks, washing hands and social distancing. Most important, we are paying attention, we see ourselves living in a land with no confusion, a return to peace and calm and, once again, we feel our freedom to go and do and be.

We see our favorite venues up and running to full capacity, full of happy people once again. Our children going to school in a normal fashion that works for students, teachers and families with no worries of being safe.

The bible has a quote from 1 John 5:14-15(NIV)This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.

Blessing you with the freedom that is yours!
