NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ON PROPOSED ZONING ORDINANCE TEXT
AUGUST 22, 2005
Pursuant to Michigan Public Act 207 of 1921, as amended (the City or Village Zoning Act), notice is hereby given that the Village of Goodrich Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on August 22, 2005, for the purpose of considering amendments to the Zoning Ordinance text affecting the entire Village of Goodrich. The purpose of the public hearing is to explain the proposed change to the Zoning Ordinance to the public and receive public comment on the proposed change. All interested parties are welcome to attend and present their comments. The meeting will be held at the Lyceum Building, 2nd Floor, 10237 Hegel Road, Goodrich, MI. The regulatory affect of the proposed changes is as follows:
VILLAGE OF GOODRICH ZONING ORDINANCE 82 AS AMENDED
Section 3.33 Accessory Buildings, Structures and Uses: Fences, Walls, and Screens
? Allows a 6 feet tall fence on a corner lot to be located only on the designated side street
? Includes design requirements for the side yard fence including setbacks and landscaping

Section 1.1 Intent and Short Title
? References in the purpose of the ordinance the recently adopted M-15 Access Management Plan and the Michigan Access Management Guidebook
Section 7.1 Commercial Driveways
? Requires preliminary MDOT review of all proposed driveways prior to site plan submission
? Increases driveway spacing requirements from intersections and between other driveways
? Illustrates desired driveway offset design
? Limits the potential for multiple driveways for one site
? Encourages shared driveways

Pursuant to Michigan Public Act 207 of 1921, as amended (the City or Village Zoning Act), notice is hereby given that the Village of Goodrich Planning Commission will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on August 22, 2005, for the purpose of considering an amendment to the Zoning Map affecting the entire Village of Goodrich. The purpose of the public hearing is to explain the proposed change to the Zoning Map to the public and receive public comment on the proposed change. All interested parties are welcome to attend and present their comments. The meeting will be held at the Lyceum Building, 2nd Floor, and 10237 Hegel Road, Goodrich, MI
AN APPLICATION FOR PROPERTY LOCATED ADJACENT TO THE SOUTH PROPERTY LINE OF 7338 S STATE ROAD, PARCEL NUMBER 92-15-300-012, GOODRICH, MICHIGAN, HAS BEEN SUBMITTED FOR REZONING FROM LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO COMMERCIAL: GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT.
The Zoning Map and a copy which illustrates all changes are available for public inspection at the Village Office, 7338 S State, Goodrich, MI 48438 during regular business hours.
Written comments concerning the proposed Ordinances may be submitted to the Village Office at the above location prior to the hearing and will be made part of the official record. All minutes of meetings are available at the Village Clerk? s Office.
