Orion Twp. ZBA Public Hearing #2, 7-14-17

The Charter Township of Orion Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on Monday, July 24, 2017 at 7:00 pm in the lower level of the Orion Township Hall, 2525 Joslyn Road, Lake Orion, Michigan 48360, on the following matter:
AB-2017-25, Roger Smith, 741 S. Newman Rd., Sidwell #09-09-253-005
The petitioner is requesting two variances from Zoning Ordinance No. 78, Article XXVII, Section 27.02, A, 8, Up to ½ acre:
1. Total Maximum Floor Area of All Accessory Buildings, requesting: a 298 sq. ft. variance above the allowed 1,150 sq. ft. maximum, to build a 672 sq. ft. attached garage addition to the existing 576 sq. ft. attached garage and for an existing 200 sq. ft. shed to remain for a total accessory building square footage of 1,248 sq. ft.
2. Maximum Floor Area of Attached Accessory Buildings: requesting a 29% variance above the allowed 75% of the principal structure to build a garage addition resulting in 104% of the principal structure.
You may send correspondence regarding this case to the Orion Township Hall, addressed to the Zoning Board of Appeals, or you may attend the public hearing to express your views and/or concerns.
A complete copy of the proposed ZBA application is on file in the Planning & Zoning Department and may be examined during normal business hours, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, until the date of the public hearing.
