Now is the time to invest in, not cut, our community schools – Vote YES!

Lake Orion Community Schools proudly produces a product that is top-six in the county and among the best in the country. This product is in-demand locally, nationally and globally. This product has even flown in space! The product is our proud and skillful students.

Our school district leadership earns unblemished annual audits and top ratings from an independent financial auditor. They are also recognized by the State for exemplary financial management and reporting. They make clear plans and deliver on time and on budget with financial discipline.

Our community schools succeed for our students.

Our community schools succeed for our taxpayers.

Our community schools need our help.

Voting YES on the bond proposal on the November ballot will provide for the current and next generation of Dragons by greatly improving site safety at all locations. The bond proposal will improve facilities at all locations. The bond proposal enables a modern elementary building in the heart of the village and an age-appropriate facility for our current early childhood students (no more tiny kids housed in a leaky, cold old high school.)

The bond proposal will get rid of outdated equipment replacing it with modern technology today and ongoing. The bond proposal will allow our teachers and staff to educate students of all ages and all abilities to be their best — educating them for the challenges of today and tomorrow in whatever career they pursue.

Without the bond, our schools will need to make lose-lose decisions as we can’t spend the same dollar twice. Our schools will need to cut staff, cut programs, cut classroom resources. We know security, safety and technology will fail to advance with the times. We can fully expect our success in the classroom to drop.

It really is an easy choice to vote YES and back a proven winner for our students and the community.

Now is the time to vote YES to invest in our community schools!
