Man arrested for chop shop operation

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department said a Mill Lake man has been operating a chop shop that included an OCSD truck among its stolen property.
Ronald Phillips, 50, was arrested and arraigned on Dec. 21 and faces penalties that could reach up to 10 years behind bars.
According to OCSD Lieutenant Bruce Naile, commander of the Orion Township Substation, the stolen property was recovered on Dec. 6.
Phillips was arrested after an OCSD investigation.
