A gunshot fired during a late-night argument inside the Parkhurst Estates manufactured home community in Oxford Township led to the arrest of a Pontiac man who’s no stranger to the criminal justice system.
Convicted felon Dustin Matney, 26, was arraigned April 27 in Rochester Hills 52-3 District Court on two felony charges ? felon in possession of a firearm (five years) and possessing a firearm during the commission of a felony (two years).
Matney was released from the Oakland County Jail after posting 10 percent of a $10,000 bond.
A complaint of a loud fight and a possible gunshot brought sheriff’s deputies to the 300 block of Crestwood Drive inside Parkhurst Estates around 12:42 a.m. April 27.
When they arrived at the home, deputies discovered two firearms in plain sight ? a .32 caliber revolver and a .243 caliber rifle with scope. The revolver contained five live rounds and one spent casing, according to the report.
