Girl Scouts present project, receive Bronze Awards at Orion Twp. meeting

On Sept. 19 the Orion Township Board helped present the Bronze award to six girl scouts who were part of Junior troop 75737 and troop 74458.
The girls built bat houses that were installed at Friendship Park to house 800 bats. The team presented information on bats, bat houses and bats in Michigan.
The girls attend Waldon, Scripps and Oakview and are 11 years old. The bronze award is the highest level of achievement for Girl Scout junior level troops.
The Girl Scout attendees at the township were leader Carol Azarovitz, Victoria, Taryn, Meghan, Amanda, Eva and leader Traci Bryant. – Jim Newell

  1. My daughter is in 4th grade at Webber Elementary. We just moved to Lake Orion, and she would like to join the Girl Scouts again soon. Does anyone know where to find up to date info online (official website is for 2015 only), or any other way to locate a troop in our area for a great 9 year-old girl?

    I appreciate you in advance!
