Eleven Oxford wrestlers qualified for individual regional competition at individual districts in Brandon last week
‘It was a good showing by the guys,? said Coach Scott Couch. ‘I think 11 qualifiers out of districts is pretty good. I was very pleased with the guys and how they’re working.?
In order to qualify for the individual regionals being held Saturday at Linden, a grappler had to place in the top four.
First place finishers included Matt Frisch (112) and Zach Line (215).
Geoffrey Charles (171), Josh Villarreal (189) and Kyle Brammer (135) all placed second in their weight classes.
Taking third were Dylan Smith (Heavyweight, 275) and A.J. Logan (160).
Mike Myer (145), Bo Cantara (140), Dakota Peasley (125) and Mike Thomas (103) all secured fourth place finishes.
Team regionals are tonight (Feb. 20) at Owosso.
